Music theme cupcakes

Next order from Eini, Kezia's mom for today is 16 cupcakes with music theme decoration. Eini wants each cupcake is decorated colorful with music ornament figurine. It's only 16 cupcakes but really took 4 hours for me to make the figurines!

While making the figurines I watched the DVD of my idol, David Foster, in his special concert of David Foster and Friends. 4 hours with in the early morning with full of music spirit arounded me :-)

I know that what I've done is not the best yet but at least my Jonathan could tell what it was this morning, hahahahaha....so here they are:

Hope I would have another chance to make those figurines much better in the future since I am kind of enjoy doing them.

Jonathan's 4th birthday cake (Cake-2)

The second birthday cake I made was for the small birthday party at school. It was also chocolate and nuts cake with 24 square size.



The theme was still Lighting Mc Queen and friends but this time as requested I added 2 more characters which were Max the truck and Matter. Jo still complained because there was no Doug hihihihihi....next time my dear... :-)

Jonathan was even happier with this cake because there was Matter, Mc Queen good buddy. Proudly he told everyone that Mommy made this cake for him! Love you son!!

Jonathan's 4th birthday cake (Cake-1)

I made two birthday cakes for Jonathan's 4th birthday as his birthday was on Saturday, June 13th and birthday party at school couldn't be held until the following next Tuesday.

Saturday morning before his daddy went off to the university, we had small and simple celebration for him at home. Singing happy birthday for him, blowing candles, praying and eating the birthday cake.



As it was only for our family, I made it in small size, 18cm. It's chocolate and nuts cake fully decorated by fondant. As Jonathan loves Lighting Mc Queen and friends, I made small fondant figurines for Mc Queen and Sally. It's not the best one as I was sleepless but he was thrilled and really melted my heart.

Baby Boy Cake for Evie

Ordered from mbak Pritta in East Java for her beloved sister, mbak Evie in Cibinong. 2 layer of moist and rich chocolate sponges cakes filled with chocolate ganache and nuts.



There was an accident during the process where I couldn't find fondant anywhere. Thank you to my dear friends, Yuli - Kue Rumahan who sent me 7kg of bakels. Yuli...you are my star!!!

Even though I was dizzy the whole night, I am glad that the cake decor turned out as I expected...I think this is cute hehehee...

Rabbit and Puppie edible figurines

Continued order from Tiena, 30 strawberry cupcakes with rabbit and puppie edible figurines.



It was fun doing the figurines but took me the whole night to do it, I really didn't have time to sleep at all! But all paid fairly knowing that how cute they were.



Too bad there was a miss understanding between me and Tiena regarding the Happy Birthday wording and candle. I do deeply apologize for the miss understanding, mbak Tiena. Thank you very much for your trust and order.

Sponge Bob and friends birthday cake

This was the first time I made birthday cake with full figurines. Order from mbak Gita, Iie' sister in law for Danta's 1st birthday.



Tried to do my best, and I am kind of happy with the result even maybe I need more improvement in edible figurines, more practice please hehehehe....I adapted mbak Peni Respati's idea in making the sand. As I didn't have wafer I used smashed crackers to make the sand.

One month baby cupcakes for baby Hartono

Doing these cupcakes really made my heart beated faster. The "very nice" weather that screw up my fondant, the not fit packing that have made me to hunt a new packing pack in very last minute etc. Thank you God, everything done in schedule :-)

20 chocolate jumbo cupcakes with baby figurines made of fondant. I just love the design of baby in the sweet pea. Lia had the idea after browsing in the internet, she gave me the link and I found it very cute!

The Chimney Cupcakes

It suppose to be the chimneys of Titanic Ship but hardly to tell what it is, isn't it?. Order came from Maya that wanted to have one of the Titanic ship's chimney on the top of cupcakes + colorful butter cream.

It was kind of hard for me to translate her request as I couldn't imagine the combination between one chimney and colorful butter cream, seems doesn't match for me but as this was the request from the customer than I had to do it as requested.



I'm not too satisfied with these chimneys as without the ship it's hard to tell that it's a chimney of the ship. Besides using fondant during the very bad humid weather recent days just screw up everything.

Brevian's 1st Birthday Cupcakes

For Brevian's 1st Birthday Cupcakes, I made several kind of cupcake's decorations as requested by Martini and husband.








For the 18 cupcakes to be put on the tier, they wanted to have piggy and boys girls' figurines and 1 cupcake for the candle to be put on, I put 4 strawberries around. My second time playing with fondant to make figurines, still need a lot of improvement but one thing that I can be proud of myself that finally I could encourage myself to work with figurines, one of my 2009 resolutions :-)



The next 15 cupcakes were chocolate cupcakes decorated with lollypop swirl and Brevian's edible pictures.



And the last 26 cupcakes were vanilla & lemon cupcakes decorated with whipped cream and fruits.

Hand bags & shoes cupcakes

This order came from Tareena. Tareena found me from searching in the internet. Really a challenge for me and there is no way to say No as figurine is one of my 2009 resoulution. :-)



Tareena asked for 24 vanilla cupcakes decorated with miniature LV handbags and shoes. I am not a fancy person, don't have any LV handbag nor LV shoes too, soo this is what I got from searching in the LV website but as I am still a very beginner, I don't think they look like the real one though.
