Black Forest for mbak Mia

Previously, Mia ordered a birthday cake for a gift to her best friend's daughter. This time she ordered for herself :-)



A 24cm black forest cake which was not the real black forest one actually as Mia prefered to have blueberry jam inside instead of black cherries but I can assure you that it's yummy though. My kids prefer this kind of black forest also rather than the one with black cherries :-)

A repeated order from Sasa, a black forest cake for her dearest husband's birthday today. Last year Sasa ordered the same cake for her husband's birthday. As this was a repeated order, I gave them a bonus. With the same price as last year I gave them bigger size of cake.

34th Wedding Anniversay Cake

34th Wedding Anniversary...wow.....what a wonderful year of marriage!



Einy & Ari, one of my loyal customers ordered this nice and delicious black forest cake. This cake was for a gift to a couple that celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary.

Black Forest for Mas Anang

This order came from my causin, Yovie, for her brother. The process of making this cake just crazy, everything was up side down. Didn't have chance to make the cake in advance as I was tight up with another order. So I had very limited time to make the cake. Got home on Friday at 10:30pm, had a little nap until 00:00am then jumped out from the bed and started to bake 3 layers of cake and making the filling.

Glad that I have prepared the chocolate decor, simple syrup & butter cream a day before. Finished baking at 2:00am, while cooling the cake I decided to take a nap again for 2 hours. Set my alarm at 4:00am. Then jumped out again, starting assembling the cake and finally finish everything by 6:10am. Pyuuuffff....what a day!



It's an important lesson for me! Next time whatever it is, must prepare the basic cake one day or 2 day before assembling the cake, it's a must no matter what. Because it can help me to prevent the caostic. When everything in a rush then I can't be totally concentrate on the decor.

Anyway, Yovie's in law said the cake was awesome. Thank you!

Surprise Black Forest for a Husband's Birthday

There was Sasa, my neighbor who wanted to make a birthday surprise for her beloved husband, Pak Imam. Sasa ordered a black forest and I was so happy to be able to help her to prepare this nice surprise.

I made four layers black forest cake and ended up very tall. But this even gave me a new idea for the decorating. As this cake is from a lovely wife to her beloved husband then I needed to support this idea. I put some pink heart candies around the cake in top of the chocolate borders and turned out cute.
