Fancy cookies with icing sugar

It has been a while since I made fancy cookies. One thing that I always enjoy making fancy cookie is I get my kids having fun with me in decorating them with icing sugar.

Ito, Justin's mom ordered some fancy cookies with icing sugar for Justin's 3rd birthday. As I have more batch, I asked Ruth and Jonathan joining me in cutting the dough and decorated them. It was just a lovely time and we will absolutely do it again for Ruth's birthday next week!

Fancy initial and flowery cookies

Last week was really a blast! My kitchen was pretty busy and it's all just because of His blessing! :-)

40 set of fancy intial and flowery names ordered by Shierly. Making fancy cookies is not really me actually. Too much to work hahahahahaha...but last week I really enjoyed doing them.

Apologize for the picture quality...the baker was too tired and I took the shot at the cookies which weres already packed. Really bad idea, better not do it again!

I would like to apologize to my customers as I couldn't finish all the fancy cookies orders. I hope it won't happen again in the future.

Thank you very much for all your supports and understanding so far.

And here are the fancy cookies I made. My kids were happy decorating the cookies. I even made a special dough which Ruth dan Jonathan could do the cutting dow to the shapes they want then baked them and finally decorated them by themselves. This activity could make then calmed down and not running around for about almost 2 hours and that was marvealous! hahahahaha...

Fancy Cookies

This is my first time to try making fancy cookies. With good support from my cyber friend, Cindy that I met thru NCC mailing list finally I could get myself to try on this.

My kids, Ruth and Jonathan helped me making these cookies. They even loved the whole process making the dough thru cutting the dough into shapes. On thing that they missed was decorating the cookies as they both were tired and decided to go for napping so I decorated these cookies by myself.

I am pretty happy with the result and even think to make some more for kids church bazaar next Sunday.
